eBoard Battery Packs from SAMSUNG, SANYO & PANASONIC
The battery is the heart of each electric vehicle such as electric skateboards. Besides the quality also the capacity influences the price of a lithium-ion battery and thus the price of an eBoard. Therefore, we're personally just using well-known batteries brands like Samsung, Sanyo or Panasonic with a high cell rate. Also, the individual specs of a battery are important to know. With this selection of different batteries, we want to offer you the possibility of upgrading your electric skateboard with a new battery to empower your eBoard again. Also, included is a BMS (battery-management-system) as well as a charging cable.
Battery Package Specification:
- 2P10S, 36V Rated Voltage, 42V Charge Voltage
- 500 times cycle charge, provide more durable battery power
- 3-4 hours Charging time
- Connector type: XT-60
- Samsung 4.0Ah (144Wh): 160*105*45mm
- Samsung 6.0Ah (216Wh): 170*105*45mm
- Sanyo 8.1Ah: (291.6Wh) 180*105*45mm
- Panasonic 13.8Ah (696Wh): 200*105*45mm
We usually just recommend our PANASONIC batteries because they have the higher quality cells and better technical specifications so that you will feel a big difference in the performance of your electric skateboard compared to our batteries from Samsung & Sanyo. Anyway if you're looking for a cheaper version they are also OK for normal usage.

Battery Performance makes the difference
Probably you already know, that the battery is the main factor to determine the quality and price of an eSkateboard. Therefore, it's also a part where you and many electric skateboard manufacturer can save money with but of course, this will have a big impact on the performance of your eBoard in different aspects. Let's compare a China brand battery with an LG and our Panasonic battery:
- China Brand Battery: 7S3P_25,2V_8,8Ah
--> 222Wh Energy-Performance
--> 7 cells x 3 parts = 21 cells in total (fewer cells = more load per cell)
--> 25,2V : 7S = 3,6V per cell (Standard)
--> 8,8Ah : 3P = 2,9Ah per cell (very low, no power)
3C discharge rate (Standard)
- LG Battery: 10S4P_36V_10Ah
--> 360Wh Energy-Performance
--> 10 cells x 4 parts = 40 cells in total (good distribution)
--> 36V : 10S = 3,6V per cell (Standard)
--> 10Ah : 4P = 2,5Ah per cell (very low, no power)
3C discharge rate (Standard)
- Panasonic Battery: 12S3P _50.4V_13.8AH
--> 696Wh Energy-Performance
--> 12 cells x 3 parts = 36 cells in total (good distribution)
--> 50,4V : 12S = 4,2V per cell (very high)
--> 13,8Ah : 3P = 4,6AH per cell (very high)
5C discharge rate (very high)
This shows us that even if the battery is from a famous brand manufacturer, it also can have a low cell capacity and performance. If you use a brand battery with 36 V of Samsung, LG, Sanyo or Sony, the quality is relatively better than batteries from Chinese brands. We don't recommend you buying Chinese brand batteries, even if they're cheaper. Some factories in China are also making fake brand batteries with LG or other famous brand names.
Together with our best battery (PANASONIC) we suggest you the newest electric skateboard drive on the market with Direct-Drive motor. A 13 Ah premium battery (including BMS - Battery-Management-System) with all required safety-features you need and the performance for longtime rides and long battery life. With 4,2V and 4,6Ah per cell, a 5C discharge rate and 696Wh our PANASONIC battery has the best quality with an excellent range and power, as well as the best efficiency. If you buy cheap, you will probably have to buy a new battery very early, so don't save money at the wrong place and get a good quality battery for your electric skateboard.
Additional, when a 36V battery is used below 70% of rated capacity, it means that the eBoard has not enough energy for riding. Compared to our PANASONIC battery, the Voltage of 50,4*70% is equal to 35.28V so almost 36V and still as good in performance power & range as a fully charged standard battery.
